Even though it's a short week, we will be quite busy! In social studies we are finishing our Arctic presentations; student projects have included books, powerpoints, posters, and 3-d models....fabulous! Soon we will start learning about Africa. In math we are finishing up fractions and we will begin multiplication in a few days. Teachers are preparing for a interesting unit on mysteries for reading, but we are learning about African folktales in the meantime. Our writing unit focuses on poetry...perfect for spring.

End of CMTs
Today was our last day of CMTs!!! As a celebration, students have voted to have a pajama/dessert party on Friday afternoon. Please send in a peanut-free snack and make sure your child wears appropriate pajamas.
Also, due to our unexpected snowstorm last Friday we will have a 1/2 day tomorrow/Thursday in order to accommodate conferences.

Today we are starting CMTs! Make sure students get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. We will not have homework during CMTs, but everyone should continue to read as usual. The CMT schedule is below:
