Now that the CMTs are over, we can finally return to our normal routine. On Friday, students thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream celebration!
This morning we resumed our spelling with Word Study. We are also starting a new unit in Literacy - Mysteries. Students have chosen their books and are starting to work in their Detective Notebooks. In math, we are continuing to investigate 4 and 5 digit numbers. We are finishing up our stories based on the book, The Red Balloon, and next we will start a new unit on persuasive writing. Lastly, in social studies, students are researching South America; they will create books (ABC, scrapbooks, travel diaries) on their "adventures."
