March Math Madness

DAEG is once again sponsoring March Math Madness from March 21 - April 1!  Students are encouraged to play math games with their parents and siblings for two weeks.  Play every night, complete the "play log" and bring it to class on March 28 and April 4.  The class in each grade with the highest percentage of participation will win a fabulous prize.  See link at right to log on.  Have fun!

Today our friend Miss Goo came to our class to show us her fearsome Sugar Glider from Australia. 

Since we are studying indigenous animals of Australia, it was terrific to see one up close.

We finished studying components of folktales in conjunction with our unit on Africa.  Students shared their stories, and voted for groups to read to first and second graders.
