Back from vacation

It was our first week back from April break and we were busy with many activities!

Today we had special visitors.  The Marshall Legacy Institute came to visit the 3rd grade classes to introduce their CHAMPS program to us.  CHAMPS - Children Against Mines Program.  We learned about all the landmines still active in the world and the efforts of this organization to find and destroy them.    If you'd like to help, make sure to check out the fliers that were send home.

When we return to school on Tuesday we have an enrichment program on Afro-Brazilian Art & Dance, followed by a program on Safe Talk.  Our South America projects are almost complete and students will present their books to K, 1, and 2 classes.  We will also be reading poetry this week.

A new week

Things to think about this week....
  • Subtraction quiz on Tuesday

  • Pajama/dessert celebration on Thursday
