A little down-time after CMTs!

Ms. Newkirk's 3rd Grade: Ms. Newkirk is excited to bring her creativity and passions to her 3rd grade classroom. She empowers students by focusing on their learning styles and interests, thus allowing them to exhibit their unique abilities. Ms. Newkirk has an EdM in International Education Development/Curriculum & Teaching from Columbia University, Teachers College and a MS in Elementary Education from U. Bridgeport. Her undergraduate degree is in Visual Communication from Arizona State University. When Ms. Newkirk isn't teaching her shiny 3rd graders, she is coaching ice skating or creating mixed media art which has been exhibited in galleries and shows in NYC and CT. Travel is also a passion and Ms. Newkirk has been to numerous countries in South America, Europe, and Africa. She lives in Darien with her daughter Katherine, who is at college in Charleston, SC.
